Kate Middleton Invites You to a Festive Carol Service – A Heartwarming Message for Christmas Eve
Get ready for a delightful Christmas Eve TV experience with
Kate Middleton! Recently, Kensington Palace unveiled an exclusive introduction
from the Princess of Wales, aged 41, for her upcoming third annual Christmas
carol concert. Although the event unfolded on December 8, you can catch the
broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve, and Princess Kate has shared her heartfelt
thoughts about what's in store.
"Welcome to our third carol service at Westminster
Abbey. Christmas is a time when we come together and celebrate the birth of a
newborn baby," begins Kate in the message recorded in November during the
final preparations for the service.
Reflecting on the precious and momentous time that comes
with the arrival of every baby, Kate emphasizes the significance of valuing and
supporting the vital role of adults in a child's world. She expresses gratitude
to tonight's guests, recognizing their support for the youngest children and
shining a spotlight on the crucial role they play in nurturing the future
generation.
From parents and caregivers to early educators, midwives,
health visitors, and community volunteers, Kate extends her thanks for their
contributions in helping the very youngest members of our communities feel
safe, valued, and loved. She believes that these efforts not only make a
difference to children today but will also shape a happier, healthier, and
fairer world in the future.
"I do hope you enjoy this evening, and I wish you all a
very Merry Christmas," concludes the Princess of Wales.
Aligned with this introduction, Kensington Palace released
new photos from inside the Westminster Abbey service. The event is linked to
Kate's Shaping Us campaign from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early
Childhood, focusing on her early years initiative launched in January.
In a pre-concert commercial, Princess Kate, adorned in a
white outfit with pearl details, stood before a grand Christmas tree and
candles, inviting viewers to join her on Christmas Eve for a special carol
service. The event aims to express a heartfelt thank you to all those
supporting the very youngest members of our society during those crucial early
years.
On December 8, Princess Kate, accompanied by all three of
her children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—hosted the
Christmas carol concert, donned in head-to-toe winter white. While photos of
arrivals have circulated, the inside scoop on what happened at Westminster
Abbey will be revealed on Christmas Eve.
This year's event features performances by Westminster
Abbey's choir, along with renowned artists such as Adam Lambert, Beverley
Knight, Jacob Collier, Freya Ridings, and James Bay. Prince William
participated in a reading during the service, joined by additional readings
from Micheal Ward, Emma Willis, Roman Kemp, and Jim Broadbent. A specially
commissioned poem by Joseph Coelho, the Children's Laureate, was also delivered
by Leonie Elliott.
Looking back at the inaugural Christmas concert hosted by
Kate in 2021, she surprised viewers with her first public piano performance,
accompanying Tom Walker as he sang "For Those Who Can't Be Here."
Although she didn't play the piano in the 2022 show, the festive event once
again brought together members of the royal family, charity staff, community
volunteers, frontline workers, military personnel, and more to celebrate the
joy that human connection can bring.
Notably, last year's program paid tribute to Queen
Elizabeth, who passed away in September 2022 at the age of 96. The carol
service was dedicated to Her Majesty and all those who are sadly no longer with
us. Highlighting Her Late Majesty's values of duty, compassion, and faith, the
program honored her role in guiding the creation of the service. The late Queen
was celebrated through a film, and Prince William delivered a poignant reading,
revisiting his grandmother's Christmas broadcast from 2012.
Join Kate Middleton for a magical Christmas Eve filled with
carols, heartwarming moments, and a celebration of the bonds that connect us
all.
