Electrifying Night at Abu Dhabi F1: Ava Max and Tiesto Set Etihad Park Ablaze

In a spectacular blend of nostalgia and contemporary beats, Ava Max and DJ Tiesto ignited the stage at Etihad Park during the inaugural after-race concert of this year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

ABU Dhabi, Music, F1, ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, abu dhabi f1,

Kicking off the night, Ava Max, radiating energy in an all-black ensemble adorned with minimal gold accents, took the stage to the cheers of her enthusiastic fans. The American pop sensation, gracing the spotlight at 9 pm, mesmerized the audience with her performance of the chart-topping "Cold as Ice."

Diving into her extensive repertoire, Max showcased a fusion of tracks from her two studio albums, the 2020 sensation "Heaven & Hell" and the recently dropped "Diamonds & Dancefloors" of 2023.

In a nostalgic turn, Max teased the crowd with a trip down memory lane, proclaiming, "We're going to throw it way back," before delivering a captivating rendition of her track "Belladonna." The crowd erupted in cheers as she seamlessly transitioned into "Not Your Barbie Girl," cleverly sampling Aqua's iconic 1997 hit "Barbie Girl."

Throughout her performance, Max maintained an interactive connection with the audience at Etihad Park, inviting them to join in singing along to her tunes and infusing humor during breaks between songs. Expressing her affection for Abu Dhabi, she exclaimed, "I love you Abu Dhabi," leading into the infectious beats of "Million Dollar Baby," turning the venue into a dancing frenzy.

Concluding her electrifying one-hour set with the crowd chanting the opening lines of her hit track "Sweet but Psycho," Max left the stage, paving the way for the transformation needed for Tiesto's upcoming performance.

As the concert series unfolds, the F1 after-race lineup promises more musical thrills with Chris Brown taking the stage on Friday, Shania Twain on Saturday, and the Foo Fighters closing the weekend on Sunday.

Red Lobster's Iconic Endless Shrimp Deal Faces Unexpected Challenges

Image
In an attempt to combat the usual slowdown during the third and fourth quarters, Red Lobster's parent company, Thai Union, devised a simple plan—a $20 promotion allowing customers to indulge in unlimited shrimp. While this promotion had been a seasonal tradition for over 18 years, the company decided to make "Ultimate Endless Shrimp" a permanent fixture on the menu in June.   The intention was clear: attract more customers to the restaurants with an enticingly low price point. However, as revealed in the recent third-quarter earnings call, the plan exceeded expectations, resulting in an unforeseen $11 million loss for the seafood chain.   Thai Union CFO Ludovic Garnier admitted, "We knew the price was cheap. But the idea was to bring more traffic into the restaurants." The promotion allowed guests to kick off their shrimp feast with two choices, and from there, they could continue ordering from a tempting selection, including coconut shrimp, linguini alf...
