Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Celebrate Their Red Carpet Debut: A Love Story Unveiled

Experiencing their inaugural red carpet appearance marked a significant milestone in the evolving relationship between Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.

In the most recent episode of their iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J. Podcast, the couple joyously delved into their attendance at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2023 in Los Angeles just a few weeks ago.

Embarking on the journey to L.A., Robach, 50, expressed, “We proudly flew in, no paparazzi evasion necessary. Walking off that plane hand in hand was incredible—it's fascinating how the smallest moments can feel so grand.” Holmes, 46, chimed in, saying, “We were proud stepping off the plane. Take our picture!”

Holmes emphasized, “It was no small feat for us.” Robach added, “It was our first official public appearance as a couple, knowingly in front of cameras, and we enjoyed every moment.”

Reflecting on the event, Robach shared, “We were just being ourselves. Apparently, that means being affectionate and indulging in PDA, but you know what? We're in love, and we're happy. I don't know any other way to be.”

She highlighted the liberation from hiding and avoiding that came with openly embracing their romance.

Notably, the former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchors ventured to Los Angeles for the music event exactly one year after their relationship became public knowledge on Nov. 30, 2022.

The couple sported coordinated looks for the evening, with Robach dazzling in a black leather mini dress and heeled boots, while Holmes opted for a black blazer, pants, and a crisp white button-down shirt.

In the inaugural podcast episode earlier this month, the hosts candidly discussed their relationship and departure from the ABC series. Holmes described them as “the individuals who lost the jobs they love because they love each other” and shared insights into their future plans.

“I'm in love with this woman, and she's in love with me, and we are planning a life together,” Holmes declared.

Meanwhile, Robach acknowledged the challenges they faced, referring to the past year as “a year of hell,” but expressed unparalleled happiness in her relationship with Holmes, labeling it “the most beautiful relationship” of her life.

The couple's podcast debuted on Dec. 5, precisely one year after ABC News President Kim Godwin placed them on hiatus from their roles when news of their workplace romance emerged.

“This is a special day,” Robach remarked during the launch episode. “It's almost fitting that our podcast airs on December 5th because exactly one year ago today, on December 5th, we were told not to come into work.”

Holmes jokingly added, “We never got a follow-up call to say come back. It was the opposite.”

During this period, Robach had not officially confirmed her separation from actor husband Andrew Shue, nor had Holmes from his attorney wife Marilee Fiebig.

Days after the red carpet debut, PEOPLE disclosed that Shue and Fiebig, the couple's ex-spouses, had found love together following their respective splits.

For those eager to listen, iHeartRadio’s Amy and T.J. podcast is available on various streaming platforms.
