Madonna Playfully Labels Andy Cohen a ‘Troublemaking Queen’ During Celebration Tour
Andy Cohen found himself in the spotlight at Madonna's
Brooklyn stop on her Celebration Tour, and he's still reveling in the moment.
Expressing his excitement on Instagram, Cohen, 55, a
self-proclaimed lifelong Madonna fan, wrote, “Being called a ‘troublemaking
queen’ by the Queen of Troublemaking is a thrill and an honor! I BOW! Also — go
see the new tour. It blew me away!! What a great night. Can’t wait to go back.
#TroublemakingQueen.”
Madonna, 65, playfully singled out Cohen in the front row
during her Celebration Tour in Brooklyn on Saturday, December 16, with a
playful warning, “If you say one more bad thing about me on your show, you’re
gonna get in so much trouble. You little troublemaking queen!”
In the Instagram video, Cohen could be seen responding with
enthusiasm, shouting, “I love you,” to which Madonna humorously retorted,
“Yeah, sure. It’s that crazy kind of love. I know about it. I’m addicted to it
myself.”
Sharing the memorable interaction on Sunday, Cohen also
reminisced about moments from Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen when he
showered Madonna with praise, even awarding her the “Mazel of the Day.”
During one throwback moment, Cohen exclaimed, “You just keep
getting better and better.” In another, he commended Madonna for captivating an
audience of “80,000 people dancing for two hours.”
Cohen further shared a clip from a 2013 Watch What Happens
Live episode where he and Ellen Pompeo engaged in Madonna trivia, moderated by
Wendi McLendon-Covey.
Despite being a devoted fan, Cohen disclosed a
less-than-favorable text message he received from Madonna earlier this year,
emphasizing her absence on his show. On “The Howard Stern Show” in June, Cohen
revealed, “Madonna still has not done the show. I hope she does.” He explained
that a couple of years ago, during one of Madonna's concerts attended by him
and friend Anderson Cooper, she cautioned him to stop having people criticize
her on his show.
Defending his admiration for the iconic musician, Cohen
asserted, “I speak so positively — on the radio and Watch What Happens Live.
Only the bad stuff gets picked up. I can make a four-hour montage of me
praising Madonna on Watch What Happens Live or on the radio.”
Cohen humorously shared the extent of his fandom, stating,
“I play a Madonna song every 75 minutes” on his “Andy Cohen’s Kiki Lounge”
radio station. “That’s how many Madonna songs there are in the queue. So,
that’s how big of a fan I am.”
In summary, Cohen's encounter with Madonna at her
Celebration Tour left him thrilled, and despite a friendly exchange, he
disclosed past tensions and his unyielding admiration for the Queen of Pop.
