Brandi Mallory's passing has left a void in our hearts, and as we remember this vibrant soul, it's important to understand the circumstances surrounding her departure.

In a recently released autopsy report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner, it has been disclosed that Brandi Mallory, the former star of Extreme Weight Loss, succumbed to complications of obesity. The report categorizes her manner of death as "natural," revealing no signs of recent injury or foul play during the autopsy examination. While trace amounts of marijuana and alcohol were found in her system, the medical examiner clarified that these substances did not contribute to her tragic demise.

The timeline leading to Mallory's discovery on November 9 sheds light on the mysterious circumstances. According to the Atlanta Police Department, she was last seen on surveillance footage at a local Chipotle on November 8, entering the restaurant and returning to her vehicle with her food. However, she never left the parking lot.

The eerie discovery was made by the owner of a nearby deli who noticed Mallory's vehicle in the same spot the following morning. Concerned by her apparent lack of movement, he called 911, ultimately revealing the somber truth of her passing.

Following her death, a gathering of friends and family took place on November 20 in Stone Mountain, Georgia, to celebrate Mallory's impactful 40 years of life. A heartfelt message on Facebook expressed the love and admiration for the star, acknowledging her contributions to fitness, fun, and body positivity. A public viewing on November 19 preceded the funeral at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tucker, Georgia, and Mallory found her final resting place in Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, Ga.

Chris Powell, Mallory's former trainer and host of Extreme Weight Loss, shared his memories of her vibrant spirit, describing her as "a bright, shining light for everybody around her." Powell emphasized Mallory's role in the body positivity movement, praising her openness about struggles with weight and her ability to inspire others through dance and self-expression.

Reflecting on Mallory's impact, Powell remarked, "She really owned the body positivity movement. It was great because she was very open about her struggles with her weight and everything, but the fact that she would just get out there and she would just fully express herself, you could feel how free she was. And that, in turn, inspired so many other people to jump on board to accept and embrace and appreciate their bodies."

In remembrance of Brandi Mallory, let us honor her legacy by continuing to promote body positivity and embracing our true selves, just as she did throughout her remarkable journey.
