Demi Moore and Rumer Willis Make a Stylish Statement at Common Ground Screening in Los Angeles
Demi Moore
and Rumer Willis enjoyed a night out with a purpose, attending a special
screening of the environmental documentary Common Ground in Los Angeles. The
mother-daughter duo, clad in cozy coordinating looks, joined actress Nikki
Reed, whose husband Ian Somerhalder is featured in the film.
Opting for
beige sweaters, Moore, 61, paired hers with frayed blue jeans and a chic long
black coat, while Willis, 35, rocked white pants and blue Birkenstock sandals.
Reed, echoing the Ghost star's style, sported a long black coat, blue jeans,
brown boots, and a white tank top.
Accompanying
Willis at the screening was her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas. The couple,
who welcomed daughter Louetta in April, recently celebrated their 7-month-old's
first Thanksgiving.
Common
Ground explores the journey of pioneers in the 'Regenerative Movement,' shaping
a new food system that yields nutritionally dense food, balances the climate,
and revitalizes our ecosystem. The documentary, featuring interviews with
Hollywood stars like Somerhalder, Jason Momoa, Laura Dern, Rosario Dawson,
Woody Harrelson, and Donald Glover, premiered exclusively on PEOPLE in
September before hitting select theaters.
At the
heart of the film is a call to action and a plan for a sustainable future
through regenerative agriculture. The Josh and Rebecca Tickell-directed project
earned acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival, securing the 2023 Human/Nature
Award.
In a
statement, the directors emphasized the urgency of the project, aiming to
empower viewers, farmers, policymakers, corporate leaders, influencers, and
students with the knowledge and tools to reshape our food and agricultural
systems for the better. Common Ground serves as both an eye-opening exploration
and a roadmap for a healthier, more sustainable future.
