Kristen Taekman Unveils a Transformed Ramona on ‘RHUGT: RHONY’ Legacy

Ramona Singer, renowned for her television antics, has undergone a remarkable transformation, according to Kristen Taekman's exclusive insights shared with Hollywood Life. In a recent interview, Kristen highlighted encountering a "whole new Ramona" on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, premiering on Peacock this December 14.

Instantly noticeable, Ramona's undisclosed relationship takes center stage, shrouded in secrecy. Kristen, promoting the Peacock show, remarked, "I have to tell you, I think my relationship with Ramona has completely come full circle, and I think you really see that in this show."

 

The journey from pre-filming press drama to a newfound understanding is evident, especially after the back-and-forth banter between Kristen and Ramona in St. Barts over the summer. Kristen emphasized, "You see that on the show, too. So it’s funny how it comes full circle. Of all the girls. She’s changed a lot."

Ramona Singer, known for her history of controversy, faced severe criticism following allegations of using a racial slur during the production of her final season of RHONY in 2020, as reported by Vanity Fair. Disputing the claim, Ramona, in response to Vanity Fair, adamantly asserted never using such language. The controversy led to her withdrawal from BravoCon just days before the November weekend-long convention in Las Vegas.

 

In a January interview before filming RHUGT: RHONY Legacy, Ramona expressed contentment after concluding her 13-season run on RHONY. She stated, "I can control my own narrative and, you know, I’m happier now and actually I’m calmer. I don’t miss it at all. It was a great experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything."

The upcoming season of RHUGT reunites Kristen and Ramona with fellow RHONY alums Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, Dorinda Medley, and Sonja Morgan. Premiering on Peacock, the first three episodes of the show will be available on Thursday, December 14.
