Meghan Markle Unveils Prince Archie’s Unique Christmas Wish List and the Hilarious Reason He Might Not Get His Dream Gift!

Meghan Markle, residing in the picturesque Montecito, California, recently hosted a special Q&A session after a private screening of Netflix’s The After. The event featured star David Oyelowo and director Misan Harriman, both of whom engaged in a lively conversation with the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan, who shares her home with Prince Harry, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet, unveiled an unexpected passion budding within her 4½-year-old son.

Amid the discussion, Meghan shared a delightful anecdote about Prince Archie's burgeoning interest in photography, undoubtedly influenced by the celebrated photographer Misan Harriman, known for capturing stunning portraits of the royal couple. Meghan recounted with a laugh how Archie, under Misan's guidance, discovered the world of photography. She confessed to buying him a camera but humorously revealed that Archie, with discerning taste, expressed a desire for a Leica, the handcrafted cameras with a hefty price tag. Meghan playfully dismissed the idea, declaring, "You are not getting a Leica! Not even for Christmas."

While Archie may not find a Leica camera under the Christmas tree this year, his affinity for photography finds roots in the royal lineage. Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry's grandmother, was often seen wielding a camera, including the prestigious Leica, capturing moments, particularly during horse shows when Prince Philip competed in carriage driving.

The photography passion runs in the family, as Meghan and Harry have showcased their own photographic talents. Prince Harry took over National Geographic’s Instagram in 2019, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared captivating snapshots on Instagram during their royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga in 2018.

Despite the photographic inclination, Archie's Christmas gift might not align with his newfound passion. In a delightful twist, Prince Harry previously shared an unexpected Christmas present from Queen Elizabeth to Archie: a waffle maker! During an episode of The Late Late Show in 2021, Harry revealed that when asked what Archie wanted for Christmas, Meghan suggested a waffle maker. The Queen promptly sent a waffle maker, making breakfast a delightful affair for the young royal. Harry amusingly shared, "Archie wakes up in the morning and goes, 'Waffle.'"

Reflecting on holiday traditions, Meghan, gracing the red carpet at Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles, shared insights into their family's festive moments. With their little ones still in the early years, Meghan expressed the joy of savoring every holiday moment. The couple, having relocated to California in 2020, is expected to celebrate the holidays privately, a departure from their earlier Christmas gatherings with the royal family in 2017 and 2018.

In the spirit of capturing candid moments and creating cherished traditions, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to navigate parenthood with a blend of royal legacy and modern flair, ensuring that each Christmas is marked by laughter, unique gifts, and the warmth of family bonds.
