Christopher Nolan's compelling three-hour biography on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brilliant mind behind the Manhattan Project, clinched several prestigious awards. The film not only secured the Best Motion Picture Drama but also earned accolades for Best Director (Christopher Nolan) and Best Drama Actor (Cillian Murphy). The film's brilliance extended to the musical realm, with composer Ludwig Göransson winning the Best Original Score.

While "Barbie," Greta Gerwig's enchanting tale powered by the world of toys, was the most nominated film leading up to the ceremony, it claimed two awards, including the inaugural Cinematic Achievement Award.

The audience's fascination with both "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" during their theatrical runs coined the term "Barbenheimer," signifying the phenomenon of audiences indulging in double features of these vastly different films.

In the realm of television, "Succession," "The Bear," and "Beef" emerged as the reigning champions.

Max's "Succession" dominated the television categories, securing four awards, including Best Drama Series. The final season was celebrated, and individual accolades went to Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Matthew Macfadyen.

FX's "The Bear" claimed three awards, triumphing in the Best TV Comedy category, and earning Best Comedy Actor for Jeremy Allen White and Best Comedy Actress for Ayo Edebiri.

Netflix's gripping "Beef," centered around a road rage incident, secured three awards, including Best Limited Series and individual honors for stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun.
