While the story gained traction, Gomez, before her departure from Instagram, clarified the situation on E! News. Commenting on a post speculating about her conversation with Swift and Teller, Gomez explained, “Noooooo, I told Taylor about my two friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone’s business.”

 

Despite lip-readers interpreting Teller's shock as mentioning "Timothée," Chalamet confirmed to TMZ on Monday that everything was fine. The speculation surrounding the alleged hookup and subsequent drama appeared to lose significance as Gomez took her leave from the platform.
