The 37-year-old star made an unexpected appearance at the New York premiere of Mean Girls, the musical inspired by the Broadway production based on the iconic 2004 film that catapulted Lohan to fame. When asked exclusively by PEOPLE if she identifies as a "cool mom" – a role she embraces since welcoming son Luai with husband Bader Shammas in July – Lohan replied with a hopeful, "I hope so!" Her ensemble for the evening featured a long-sleeved black dress designed by Alexandre Vauthier, complete with a stunning cutout bejeweled with silver crystals.

The dress, boasting a subtle slit that revealed Lohan's chic black ankle strap heels, was complemented by matching silver earrings. During the event, she posed for both solo shots and snapshots alongside Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey, the mastermind behind the original Mean Girls film.

 

Lohan's reunion with her original Mean Girls castmates occurred just a few months ago, teaming up with Walmart for an unforgettable Black Friday commercial. In this nostalgic ad spot, the once North Shore High School kids are all grown up, revisiting some of the movie's most iconic scenes.

On Wednesdays we wear pink, but now we shop Walmart Black Friday deals," Cady remarks as Gretchen (Lacey Chabert) pulls up in a convertible loaded with Walmart shopping bags. The ad lovingly brings back memorable moments, from Karen's (Amanda Seyfried) air-headed weather reports to the famous "Jingle Bell Rock" performance featuring sexy Santa costumes.

 

Despite Lohan's absence in the 2024 Mean Girls, where Angourie Rice assumes the role of Cady Heron, the star-studded cast includes Renée Rapp, reprising her Broadway role as Regina George from the musical Sex Lives of College Girls.
