Jessica Klepser Remembers Husband Christian Oliver and Daughters: A Heartfelt Tribute

In response to the tragic events of January 4, 2024, Jessica Klepser, the wife of actor Christian Oliver, has shared her sentiments for the first time after the devastating plane crash that claimed the lives of her husband and their two young daughters. The emotional statement, posted on Wundabar Pilates' page by Amy Jordan, the company's owner, reflects the deep sorrow felt by Jessica and her family.

Expressing profound sadness over the loss, the statement begins, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane accident that took the lives of our beloved family members." Madita (12) and Annik (10), along with their father Christian, were returning from a Caribbean holiday when the single-engine plane encountered engine trouble and plunged into the ocean, resulting in the unfortunate loss of all four passengers.

The post then details the vibrant personalities of Madita and Annik, highlighting Madita's academic and artistic achievements and Annik's gentle yet strong demeanor. The deep bond, infectious laughter, and adventurous spirit shared by the sisters will be greatly missed in their communities. Jessica Klepser, their devoted mother, survives them, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in Germany.

Christian Oliver, known for his roles in films like The Baby-Sitters Club and The Good German, is remembered as a great colleague, actor, and friend. The statement concludes by urging privacy for the grieving family during this difficult time.

To support the family, a GoFundMe page, initiated by a friend of Klepser named Sarah Silverman, has been shared, with funds aimed at covering expenses related to returning Christian and the girls home, funeral and memorial services, legal matters, and providing support to Jessica and the extended family. The initiative has already raised nearly $50,000, halfway towards the $100,000 target.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force shared details of the tragic incident, describing how the aircraft experienced difficulties moments after takeoff, leading to its plunge into the ocean. Local response teams, including fishermen, divers, and the SVG Coast Guard, played a crucial role in recovering the bodies of the passengers and the pilot, identified as Robert Sachs, owner of the plane.

Post-mortem examinations will determine the cause of death. As of now, representatives listed for Christian Oliver have not responded to PEOPLE's request for comment.

In this time of sorrow, Jessica Klepser and her family appreciate the outpouring of support and encourage those who wish to contribute to consider the GoFundMe page, which will help alleviate the financial burden associated with this tragic loss.
