However, a recent in-depth analysis from the Harris Poll reveals that these classics are not only stars of the main event but also the top contenders for the ultimate day-after Thanksgiving sandwich.
According to the survey, an impressive 94 percent of
respondents indulge in the art of crafting the perfect Thanksgiving leftover
sandwich. While turkey claims the throne at 81 percent, other favorites include
staples like gravy (42 percent), ham (41 percent), and stuffing (39 percent).
Surprisingly, 11 percent of respondents insisted on elevating their leftover
sandwich game with the addition of pumpkin pie.
Venturing beyond the basics, Americans exhibit a flair for
incorporating hot dish leftovers into their post-Thanksgiving creations. Mac
and Cheese takes a commendable 21 percent, followed by Green Bean Casserole at
14 percent, corn casserole at 10 percent, and broccoli casserole at nine
percent, as reported by enthusiastic survey participants.
When it comes to the vessel of choice, white bread emerges
as the undisputed winner, securing the preference of 20 percent of sandwich
connoisseurs.
Whether it's the comforting familiarity of turkey or the

sandwich has evolved into a culinary tradition embraced by a vast majority of
