Recently, a TikTok user, @sarowarrr, unveiled this hidden gem in a captivating video. The footage captured the user approaching a Delta pilot, inquiring about the elusive trading cards. Although the initial response was a cardless pilot, a subsequent check with the first officer resulted in the social media user being handed two gleaming gold trading cards.

 

According to a Delta spokesperson, the trading card initiative was initiated by passionate employees over two decades ago. Its purpose? To share their profound love for the airline and the wonders of aviation.

 

Each card, the spokesperson explained, showcases a specific aircraft in Delta's fleet, corresponding to the type flown by the issuing pilot. The collection has evolved over the years, with six distinct Delta Trading Card sets, each undergoing a redesign approximately every five years.

 

At present, the collection boasts 11 unique card types, featuring designs crafted last year by Delta's visionary "Window Seat" visual design team.

 

"When our pilots aren't immersed in flight preparations or guiding our customers towards their next adventure, they're delighted to share these sought-after cards with any polite inquirer," affirms the Delta spokesperson.

 

However, TikToker @sarowarrr issues a gentle warning to fellow travelers: Delta pilots may not always have these prized cards readily available. A follow-up video revealed a pilot explaining his cardless state after fielding similar requests from five different individuals over a two-day period.
