In an exclusive conversation with Net-a-Porter for this month's digital cover, the 25-year-old model candidly shares how having her 74-year-old father by her side, guiding her down the aisle, held profound significance.

 

"We shared laughter and tears—it felt surreal," Sofia reveals, recounting the seven minutes it took for them to traverse the aisle. She elaborates on their unique connection, stating, "We have this little look we give each other, a shared smirk. We were like two giddy kids, following the rabbi's instructions."

 

Vogue documented the wedding, capturing Sofia's dress fittings and the heartfelt moments with her renowned father. Sofia, in an interview with the publication, reminisced about observing each bridesmaid and groomsman proceeding down the aisle, inching closer to the front. She couldn't believe the moment was unfolding. The "Hello" star, Lionel Richie, expressed his sentiments, telling her, "You're the love of my life, and I'm so happy for you."

 

Overwhelmed with emotion, Sofia expressed her gratitude, saying, "I feel so lucky to have my parents. I'm very grateful." Lionel Richie later shared with Extra that during her walk to the altar, Sofia repeatedly declared, "I love you, dad," a sentiment that deeply touched him. "You're killing me," he responded affectionately, recognizing it as a father's cherished affirmation.

 

Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge exchanged vows on April 22 at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Rock in Antibes, France, in the presence of 180 guests, including Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Paris Hilton, and Carter Reum.

 

Her spring nuptials, featuring three stunning Chanel wedding dresses, garnered attention on social media. Speaking with Town & Country, Sofia clarified that her style choices, showcased on TikTok, weren't driven by a desire to increase her following. Chanel, her favorite designer, played a significant role in the selection process. "Someone suggested, 'Why don't you do Chanel?' And I thought, 'Oh, I wish it was that easy,'" Sofia recounts.

 

Taking the bold step, she reached out to Chanel, initially asking for one wedding dress. To her delight, they agreed. This collaboration evolved into a beautiful partnership, with Chanel creating additional pieces for her rehearsal dinner. Sofia's genuine appreciation for the brand's willingness to contribute to her special day shines through as she navigates the intricate balance of style and sentiment.
