Barack Obama generously revealed his musical preferences for 2023, providing a captivating glimpse into his favorite tunes. The carefully curated list showcases a lineup of renowned artists, with notable mentions of Beyoncé and Shakira. Earlier in the week, the former President had delighted his audience by sharing his top picks for books and films in 2023.

This 28-song compilation also boasted an eclectic mix, featuring Indigo De Souza, Megan Thee Stallion, Burna Boy, 21 Savage, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Dave, Central Cee, 6lack, Brent Faiyaz, Tems, Karol G, Shakira, Stormzy, Fredo, and more.

 

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Obama shared, "Here are some of my favorite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out." Eager followers promptly chimed in, pointing out noteworthy singers and songs that hadn't found a spot on the playlist.

 

Notably, Boygenius, with their captivating track "Not Strong Enough," had secured a place on Obama's 2023 summer playlist, adding an extra layer of diversity to his musical preferences.

 

This isn't the first time Barack Obama has unveiled his musical selections; he had previously released a playlist in 2022, featuring artists like Lizzo, Rosalía, Ari Lennox, Ethel Cain, Steve Lacy, and Omar Apollo.
